NIBS Innovate is a small consultancy headed by Nick Irons, based in Alcester and working with owner-managed businesses across Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Alcester and Stratford-upon-Avon. We help them move from running on memory, spreadsheets and systems they have outgrown, to running on one that fits.

Most owners I meet don't need more software. They need the business to stop depending on them remembering everything.
I've been designing and building systems for owner-managed businesses since the 1990s - the kind people keep using. I lead the thinking on every project and stay close to it, from the first conversation to handover.
The aim is always the same: a business that runs on a system rather than on you. Calmer day to day, and worth more when you come to sell.
How we work with you
Nick leads every project personally, from the first conversation to handover. We bring in the right hands for the build as each job needs them, and we use AI where it speeds up the work without lowering the standard.
You stay in charge throughout. You decide what the problem is, what it's worth, and what "done" looks like. We handle the judgement, the specification and the build - then bring it back to you to check.
How we think about systems
Most firms don't have a technology problem. They have a memory problem: too much of how the business works lives in a few people, so growth just feels like more noise.
We're not interested in selling tools for the sake of tools. Automating a broken process only makes it fail faster, so we fix the process first. Clearer process first, sensible automation second, and AI only where it helps.

From our base in Alcester, we work with owner-managed businesses across Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Alcester and Stratford-upon-Avon. Businesses that have outgrown ad-hoc operations and know it.
